đź’¬ Breaking Stigma - with Counsellor Marie Vaile
This video explores the stigma many women face when they need to terminate a pregnancy and how this silence can deepen feelings of isolation, guilt and shame. When termination is rarely talked about, and pregnancy is framed solely as a “gift” or “blessing”, it can leave women feeling misunderstood and emotionally alone. The video highlights the importance of listening to and respecting women’s emotional and physical experiences, recognising that for some, termination is not a choice but a necessity shaped by their circumstances. Reducing judgement and encouraging compassionate support helps women access the specialist help they need to process their experience and protect their mental wellbeing.
