On this page

This notice applies to MindFriend’s educational content wherever it appears — on www.mindfriend.com and on MindFriend’s social media channels. It is read alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

1.

Educational content only

MindFriend publishes and links to educational content created by independent clinicians and mental-health professionals. This content is provided for general information and education only. It is not therapy, medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, crisis support, safeguarding assessment, risk assessment, or a substitute for advice from your own GP, clinician, NHS service, emergency service, or other qualified professional.

2.

No clinical relationship is created

Viewing MindFriend content, following MindFriend on social media, sending a message, commenting on content, or viewing a clinician profile does not create a therapist-client, doctor-patient, or clinician-client relationship with MindFriend or with any featured clinician. A professional relationship is created only where you separately book and enter into an agreement with a clinician, and the clinician accepts you as a client.

3.

Featured clinicians and credential checks

Clinicians featured by MindFriend are independent professionals. Where a profile states that a clinician is registered, accredited, licensed, or a member of a professional body, MindFriend has carried out administrative credential checks using the information available at onboarding and at re-check intervals. These checks are not a recommendation, endorsement, guarantee of quality, guarantee of outcome, confirmation of suitability for you, or guarantee of current professional status. You should check the relevant professional register or membership body before booking where this matters to you.

4.

Responsibility for content

Clinicians are responsible for ensuring that their own content, profile information, qualifications, titles, methods, and professional claims are accurate, lawful, within their competence, and compliant with their professional obligations. MindFriend may review, format, remove, or refuse content that appears inaccurate, unsafe, misleading, outside scope, or inconsistent with MindFriend’s platform rules, and does not materially alter the substance of a clinician’s content without their consent.

5.

How to use this content safely

MindFriend content must not be used to self-diagnose, delay urgent care, stop medication, avoid medical review, or replace individual professional advice. We do not guarantee that any method, clinician, therapy type, or educational content will achieve any particular result.

6.

Keep personal health information private

Please do not post personal health information — symptoms, diagnosis, medication details, trauma history, crisis information, or other sensitive personal information — in public comments or social media messages. MindFriend cannot provide clinical advice through comments, direct messages, or support tickets.

7.

In a crisis

If you may harm yourself or someone else, or you feel unable to keep yourself safe, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department. In the UK, call 999 for an emergency, use NHS 111 for urgent mental-health help, or contact Samaritans on 116 123. MindFriend is not an emergency or crisis service. See our Crisis & Emergency Resources for the full list.
